Today if you are a little better than you were yesterday, then that's enough. Never believe that you must solve all of your problems at once, that you must be completely recover in a short time or that you are wrong of flawed for continuing to struggle- take small steps each day in the right direction, for the active effort of moving in the right direction is enough to create a gradual impact, one step at a time. Don't hold yourself to the standard that you must take giant steps in order to be successful, take your journey step by step, from going to the grocery by yourself to driving a car after not getting behind the wheel for a couple of years, or even calling a friend you have'nt talked to in a while, it is often the little steps that add up to a great amount in the end, and that ultimately have the most impact upon your journey in the right direction. You did not come this far to walk away without victory. You have not overcome all that you have to turn your back to the future. You have not fought so many battles to stand back from fighting the greater war. You were not crafted to turn back or walk away from the challenges presented to you-you were crafted to be victorious, to overcome the war placed infront of you, to lose some battles but to continue on despite any struggles along the way. Every Time You Eat Is An Oppurtunity to Nourish Your Body

This is a post for those who struggle with anxiety about food, around the holidays especially. On social media, around the holidays, I see alot of talk about going on a diet to "burn off" the food you ate or going on some sort of weight loss/ maintaing program to try to not gain weight from eating the food you are eating over the holidays. And I want to say :YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE COMPENSATORY BEHAVIOUR BECAUSE YOU CHOSE TO FUEL YOUR BODY. The food you eat over the holidays may feel like extra, but in reality the body is built to burn energy, and supplying it the energy it needs to be able to keep you alive and functioning is not a bad thing. You do not have to compensate because you chose to fuel your body. I'm not saying not to do joyful movement and excercise during the holiday season. If you can't do anything about it, then let it go. Don't be a prisoner to the things you can't change. Let go of the things that are out of your control. Worrying about them isn't going to impact them, but rather working towards them with hope and good intentions in mind may help to effect what you desire to change. You may not be able to change the fact that you struggle with mental illness, but while pain is inevitable, suffering is a choice, and choosing to cling to your illness and allow it to define you is setting yourself to suffer, LET IT GO ! Stand Up For What Is Right, Even If You Stand Alone.

Stand up for what is right even if you have to stay alone. Only you know what is right for your journey, never change the course of your journey towards something you don't believe in simply because of the actions or desires of others, always stand up for your beliefs and values along the way, and even if you are standing alone, and don't stray from the journey you have ahead of you because of other people's preferences or ideas for yourself. You Are Not Stuck

You are not stuck. Though it may be hard to believe at some point within your journey. you are not stuck, in one place unless you allow yourself to be, you are a being of constantly changing feelings and emotions, you have the power to impact and manipulate your journey at any given point, and each step you take forward, no matter how small it may seem, is an inch of progress that you gain. Do not allow yourself to get trapped in the mindset that you are helpless, within the point that you are, embrace each moment as a new experience, be mindful and present within each passing feeling and emotion and don't unpack your bags at every roadblock, but rather take the time you need to actively work your way through them. Validate and own your progress, especially at the points in which you feel as though you are at a standstill, honor each tiny step you take, and recognize the movement that comes with each second that travels through your journey.
